Nacido en Bogotá, Colombia, el 17 de septiembre de 1988, su viaje en la música comenzó cuando tenía 7 años junto a su padre, Jairo Guerra, y su tío, Dalmiro Guerra, quienes se especializaban en el folclore colombiano.
Durante el período de 2007 a 2010, Miguel continuó sus estudios en La Habana, Cuba, y al regresar a su ciudad natal, Bogotá, Colombia, comenzó a trabajar con la reconocida orquesta de salsa llamada La 33.
Actualmente, Miguel ha estado actuando como parte de la banda Monsieur Periné, lo que le ha brindado la oportunidad de participar en algunos de los festivales más prestigiosos alrededor del mundo.
En 2015, ganó un Latin Grammy como «Mejor Nuevo Artista» con la banda Monsieur Periné, con la que actualmente ha grabado 2 álbumes. Además, formó parte del álbum tributo a Tite Curet Alonso de La 33 y ha colaborado como músico y percusionista con varias bandas en su país, así como en películas y musicales.

Born in Bogota Colombia on September 17th , 1988. His music journey started when he was 7 years old with his father Jairo Guerra and his uncle Dalmiro Guerra, who specialized in Colombian folklore.
During 2007 – 2010 Miguel continued his studies in Havana, Cuba and when he returned to his natal city, Bogotá – Colombia, he started working with the well known salsa orchestra named La 33.
Currently, Miguel has been performing as part of the band Monsieur Periné which has given him the opportunity to participate in some of the most prestigious festivals around the world.
In 2015 he won a Latin Grammy as “Best New Artist” with the band Monsieur Perine which whom he has currently recorded 2 albums with. Also, he became part of the Tite Curet Alonso Tribute La 33 album, and has collaborated as musician and percussionist with several bands in his country, as well as films and musicals.
